(more information can be found here).
Drying Issues
In the months that aren’t summer, it is unlikely that you’ll be able to dry your clothes outside because of the typical British weather. So, you and many others may rely on your tumble dryer as a way to dry your clothes. However, for a couple of reasons your tumble dryer might leave your garments damp or even wet.
Lint buildup is the most likely culprit for drying issues as the lint filters become clogged after only handful of uses. A way to navigate this issue is to ensure that the lint filter is emptied after most drying cycles. If your model of tumble dryer has an exhaust hose, you may need to clean it regularly for the same reasons to allow a consistent airflow out of the dryer.
An overstuffed dryer is the outcome of putting too many clothes into the dryer. To ‘tumble’ and dry your clothes properly, there needs to be adequate space for clothes to move around within the drum. Lack of space for the clothes to move hinders the tumble dryers capability to dry your clothes. So, it’s always a good idea is to check the recommended load capacity for your dryer or just to make sure there is space at the top of the dryer before you shut the door.
However, if your tumble dryer is blowing cold air, you will more than likely need a spare part replacement and an engineer to come out and look at it. Our local engineers specialise in fixing tumble dryers in the areas we cover, including Bicester, Banbury, Chipping Norton, Oxford, Cheltenham, Moreton-in-Marsh, and surrounding areas
Sensor and Thermostat Issues
Thermostats and moisture sensors are integral components to your tumble dryer detect when clothes are dry. However, when they malfunction, the issue will prevent the dryer running.
As a result, broken sensors or thermostats may need to be replaced. Fortunately, our team of engineers will have your tumble dryer repaired quickly and reliably. If you live anywhere in Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire, our team can visit your home ASAP and they’ll endeavour to fix the tumble dryer on the spot.
Drum issues
Sometimes your tumble dryer may start and dry as normal but could be making an awful racket. Tumble dryers are by no means quiet machines, and often times a loud whirring sound can be heard from the drum rotating. However, loud and consistent thuds and bangs can be cause for due concern. A common culprit is uneven load distribution or the dryers feet not being level. Start by reorganizing the clothes and adjust the dryer's feet if necessary. If your dryer continues to rattle from the drum, it is most likely due to worn-out drum components such as the drum drive belt, jockey wheels or worn bearings. In this case its best to call out one of our engineers who will be able to bring the spare parts that will most likely fix your issue.
